Ranvir S. Sandhu, Partner
Attorney Ranvir is a dynamic, focused and hard-working lawyer who values transparency and integrity. Ranvir is well versed in a wide variety of legal matters.
Ranvir helps create professional estate plans that will satisfy individual and family members’ personal, financial, and tax goals. This includes the preparation of customized wills, trusts, powers of attorney, deed transfers and advanced health care directives.
Ranvir also advises individuals, joint partnerships, startups and emerging companies in tech and non-tech, including cannabis on corporate formation, M&A, financing, SAFEs and IPOs, general corporate counseling, as well as on non-corporate matters such as employment, licensing, securities compliance and general corporate counseling.
Prior to founding Insight Legal, P.C., Ranvir worked at renowned Bay Area law firms such as Cooley, DLA Piper, Fenwick & West, Pillsbury and WilmerHale and also acted as in-house Corporate Counsel to Bay Area tech companies. His practice included the representation of technology, health care, biotechnology, life sciences, emerging growth companies, public companies, securities professionals and investors in the wide variety of legal matters that affect their businesses; incorporations of LLCs, C Corps and S Corps, dissolutions, mergers, acquisitions, financings and IPOs and securities compliance. As in-house counsel, Ranvir also reviewed and negotiated commercial software and hardware licensing agreements, trading agreements, SaaS and PaaS agreements, business partnerships and distribution agreements.
As a small and growing law firm and mainly due to his efficiency and one-on-one client approach, Ranvir and his team prepared hundreds of estate planning packages. Ranvir and his firm tailor their schedules to their clients’ everchanging needs and has often reprioritized client workload to meet those needs. For example, COVID-19 was and is still a great concern for many, and now with the India strain, Insight Legal established several estate plans done on a record turnround; be it due to travel needs abroad, desire to close a home purchase with a newly established trust as the owner and many other types of urgent circumstances.
Outside of Law:
Ranvir is fluent in Punjabi. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He also has a passion for real estate; he has experience in renovating, designing, staging and listing residential properties as a real estate broker.
Jennifer Wilder Powers, Of Counsel
Attorney Jennifer Powers is experienced in multiple areas of the law including civil litigation, estate planning, corporate law, tax law, product liability and construction defect litigation.
Jennifer is passionate about connecting with her clients to accomplish their estate planning goals. She believes that her clients deserve a personalized estate plan that takes into consideration their unique circumstances.
Jennifer grew up in suburban Detroit and graduated from Michigan State University. She attended law school at Western Michigan University Law School in Michigan and Pepperdine Law school in California. After graduation she was admitted to the Michigan Bar and then the California Bar in 1995.
In her free time, Jennifer enjoys cooking, hiking in the mountains near her home, and visiting her daughter in France as often as possible.
Parveen Kaur, Intern
Parveen is our Legal Intern who supports the day-to-day activities of the firm. She helps with legal research and initial drafting, including client management and development.
She graduated in the top 5 percent of her class. Parveen has received several scholarships and awards for her outstanding academic performance. She was involved in several clubs and organizations throughout her undergraduate studies. Parveen has always been passionate about the law, and naturally, she is an aspiring law student.
